Critical Warning: PillorNOT is an AI-powered tool that attempts to identify pills using image recognition and web search. Results are NOT guaranteed to be accurate and should NEVER be used as the sole basis for taking medication. Always consult a pharmacist or doctor.

1. Acceptance

By using PillorNOT, you agree to these Terms.

2. How It Works

PillorNOT is a client-side web application. You provide your own Groq API key. All processing happens between your browser and Groq's API. There is no PillOrNOT server.

3. NOT Medical Advice

PillorNOT is NOT a substitute for:

A pharmacist (who will identify pills for free)
A doctor or medical professional
Poison control (call 1-800-222-1222 in an emergency)
Professional drug interaction checking
Reading the actual medication label

Do NOT take, give, or dispose of any medication based solely on AI identification. When in doubt, take the pill to your local pharmacy.

4. No Guarantees

Pill identification may be inaccurate due to:

Blurry or poorly lit photos
Worn or faded imprint codes
Foreign pills not in US databases
Supplements and vitamins without FDA imprints
Counterfeit pills with copied imprints
AI misreading the imprint code

An "Identified" result does not guarantee the identification is correct. A false identification could have serious health consequences.

5. Your API Key

You are responsible for your own Groq API key and its usage.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use PillorNOT for:

Making medical decisions without professional consultation
Identifying pills for the purpose of substance abuse
Automated bulk queries or API abuse
Any purpose that violates applicable laws

7. Limitation of Liability

PillorNOT is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:

Any health consequences from acting on identification results
Inaccurate or incorrect pill identifications
Missed drug interactions or warnings
Any decisions made based on tool results

8. Emergency

If you suspect a poisoning or adverse drug reaction, call 911 or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 immediately. Do not rely on PillOrNOT in an emergency.
